MY WELL

MyWell_screen.png

I worked through an end to end UX process to produce an improved final design for a well management application for professionals working in the Groundwater industry.

The goal of the project was to improve the organization and performance and visual design of an existing application.

First of all, it was needed to begin with the old software analysis, to fully understand the information architecture, in order to improve it and begin defining our Design Principles.

The whole process was:

1.    I  conducted domain research to gain an understanding of the user base, tried to walk on the users'                 shoes and discovered what were their greatest challenges when dealing with the existing website.

2.    Applied Design Thinking techniques with different roles to understand business rules and align them to         the users' needs. I used the old system, collected print screens, mind map the information architecture           and took notes on what  should be the main usability issues to be improved;

3.    I redesigned UX/UI for web devices in order to provide the users with a smooth and pleasant experience.

4.    Established the Design Principles, that would guide the UX/UI decisions, in order to bring value and                 consistency to the brand based on the business goals;

5.    Established brand identity for the application, including a logo, color palette, typography and                             iconography;

6.    Translated the design principles, into functional and perceptual patterns, leading the website to achieve          its values which are simplicity, easiness, trust, guidance, fun, delight.
